SignalTerms of Service
Last updated: 8 November 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and SignalShelf, operated by Anuj Kapoor from India. By creating an account or calling the API you accept them.
The service
SignalShelf is an API that returns publicly available data from social platforms, Google Maps, app stores and similar public sources. We don't provide private, logged-in or personal-account data.
We may change, add or remove endpoints. If a source stops being available, failed requests are not charged.
Your account
You need an account to get an API key. Keep your key secret: you're responsible for usage made with it. One person or organisation per account; don't create accounts to collect free credits more than once.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a contract.
Credits and payment
The API is paid with prepaid credits. Most requests cost 1 credit; the pricing page lists the exceptions. Failed requests and opt-in cache hits cost 0.
Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Purchased credits don't expire while your account is open. Free and earned credits have no cash value and can't be transferred or refunded.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles sales tax, VAT and GST. Their terms apply to the purchase itself. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy and the laws that apply to you, including data protection laws, when you use data from SignalShelf. You're responsible for how you store and use that data.
Availability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. Third-party sources can change or block access at any time, which may make some endpoints temporarily unavailable.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, SignalShelf isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse the free credits or harm the service or others. If we close your account without cause, we refund unused purchased credits.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here with its date, and material changes will be emailed. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: support@signalshelf.dev.
