Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 November 2026. This policy explains what we collect about you as a SignalShelf customer and how we use it.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and a password hash or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google.

Usage data: API requests you make (endpoint, parameters, time, credits used, status), IP address and user agent, used for billing, rate limits, abuse prevention and support.

Payment data: handled by Dodo Payments. We receive the order status, amount, country and your email; we never see or store full card details.

Support and rewards: messages you send us and links you submit for earned credits.

How we use it

To run the service, bill credits, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and send service emails such as verification, receipts and important changes. We don't sell your data and don't use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run SignalShelf: hosting (Railway), database (Neon), payments (Dodo Payments), email delivery, and Google for sign-in. They process data only on our behalf. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Data returned by the API

The API returns publicly available data. We cache results for a limited time to make repeat requests faster and cheaper, and we don't build profiles of individuals. If you believe public data about you is being returned and want it removed from our cache, email us.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is open. Request logs are kept for up to 12 months for billing and security. When you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it, such as tax records.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to processing, by emailing support@signalshelf.dev. If you're in the EU, UK or India you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in, plus a short-lived cookie for Google sign-in and referral tracking. No advertising cookies.
